Maruti Suzuki India will invest Rs 35,000 crore in a new manufacturing plant at Khoraj, Gujarat, on 1,750 acres of GIDC land. The facility aims for 10 lakh vehicles annual capacity, starting production in FY2029, creating 12,000 jobs and boosting ancillary units. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel received the investment letter from MD Hisashi Takeuchi, aligning with ‘Make in India’. This expands Maruti’s output beyond 2025’s record 22.55 lakh units amid surging demand.
